Lights ink Butte High’s Armstrong

Butte High record-breaking receiver Bryce Armstrong will continue his career at MSU-Northern in Havre.

Armstrong signed with coach Marc Samson’s Lights, according to the school’s web site.

During Butte High’s 2012 State championship run, Armstrong set the school record with 72 receptions. His 940 receiving yards in 2012 were second only to Jake Dallaserra in school history.

Armstrong, who earned first-team All-State honors as a senior, ranks No. 3 in Butte High history with 84 receptions. That ranks only behind Dallaserra (109) and Dunk Abbott (100).

The 5-foot-10 Armstrong also placed second in the 152-pound division at the State tournament this weekend in Billings.
