The Butte Miners played their first home games in two weeks Tuesday afternoon, and the home cookin’ didn’t translate into wins.

The Lethbridge Elks swept the Miners in a conference doubleheader at Copper Mountain Park. Landon Bourassa threw a no-hitter as the Elks won the opener 10-0. Lethbridge completed the sweep with a 6-3 victory.

Next up for Butte is a tournament in Bozeman. The Miners play twice on Wednesday. They take on the Helena Senators at noon and the Billings Royals at 2:30.

Bourassa struck out nine batters and walked just one in the opener. He was perfect through five innings.

Butte pitcher Trey Hoagland went toe-to-toe with Bouressa, keeping the game a 1-0 contest into the sixth. The Elks made it 3-0 with two in the sixth inning. They broke it open with a seven-run seventh.

The Elks broke open a 2-all tie to take the lead for good with three runs in the fifth inning.

Bryce Oriold-Frasser struck out six batters and walked three to pick up the win. Jared Haran went the distance, striking out six in the loss.

Shawn Grandmont went 3 for 4 with a double to lead the Elks. Austin Haculak tripled and Jack McDonald doubled in the win.

Kilian O’Leary drilled a solo home run to lead the Miners. Zach Hart and Nate LeProwse each pounded a pair of hits, while Ryan Moodry, Dylan McDonald, Ax Henningsen and Renzy Doherty each hit one.
