LeFevre, Locomotives roll to win

Laurel senior guard Jayde LeFevre burned Frenchtown to the tone of 26 points tonight as the Locomotives rolled past the Broncs 53-42 in the first round of the Class A State girls’ basketball tournament at the Butte Civic Center.

LeFever sank five 3-pointers and hit 7 of 10 free throws to lead Laurel (17-6), which will play in Friday’s 8 p.m. semifinal game. Abbie Lohof came off the bench to score 10 points in the win.

Laurel led 26-16 at halftime and 43-24 after three quarters.

Abby Inderland and Larissa Berg each scored eight points to pace the Broncs, who head to loser-out play.
