Big Fork 84 (2-0) VS Butte Central (0-2) 16
The Butte Central Lady Maroons had a rough start to their season this weekend, going 0-2. They are young and it’s an entire new world in Lady Maroon basketball this season and when the Mining Cities all-time leading scorer only has 6 points you know it’s going to be a long night.
The Maroons were battling injuries, Brooke Badovinac hurt her ankle and couldn’t get anything going offensively, but she made sure she was out there for her teammates. There was no way she was not playing in this game.
Brooke and Macy showed great leadership in a very hard situation as Big Fork crunched the Lady Maroons 84-16. They will look to heal up, hit the practice floor and get ready for their home opener this Thursday at the MAC against East Helena.
Big Fork was led by dynamic and duo and hot shooting from Braeden Gunlock who had 23 points and Paeten Gunlock who had 17.
Brooke Badovinac had 6 points to lead the Maroons, Maycee Anderson had 3, Anika Stajcar had 3 as well, and Mollie Drew put in 4.
