The Butte Central Maroons fell to 0-2 on the young season as they faced Dillon, Dillon won in 3 games 25-18, 25-15, and 26-16. Kate Johnston had 13 digs for the Maroons and Kathryn Lalicker had 10, Ella Moodry led the Maroons with 8 kills.
“The girls played with everything they had tonight. Really proud of how we stepped up to a very good Dillon team and competed. We need to take that play and continue moving forward in improving on the little things. I thought our defense had a great night, with our libero Kate Johnston leading the way. She had a really good game for us tonight, in serve receive and defensively, with 13 digs. We have a quick turnaround into Saturday’s game, but I think the girls will be bringing that same high energy play into their first home match vs. Corvallis.”
The Maroons are home today as the host the Blue Devils from Corvallis.
