Lady Maroons fall to Broncs

The Lady Maroons were home today to play host to the Hamilton Broncs. The first pitch was at 11am and we avoided the rain early on, but the bats didn’t fully wake up on time for the Lady Maroons Saturday morning.

It was 4-0 broncs during the bottom of the 3rd inning, but Kathryn Lalicker decided to change that with an absolute shot to right field burning the right fielder and driving in a run on the double to spark some momentum for the Maroons.

Hamilton’s pitching was great as Mariah Johnson controlled the mound well through the first 6 innings. The bats for the Broncs were strong and paired with good base running and timely defense.

The Lady maroons just couldn’t get it going consistently on the offensive and were able to score a few more runs in the final innings but ended up losing this one 12-4.

Hattie Mehring started on the bump for the Maroons, she also scored a run, Kathryn Lalicker Was 1-3 with an RBI, Brooke Badovinac went 1-3 and scored a run, Arika Stajcar was 1-4, Renee Creekmore and Mia Keeley each scored a run each.

The Lady maroons will return to action on May 11th @ the Dillon Beavers.
