Lady Maroons fall short at Stevensville, Bado becomes 2nd all time leading scorer in girls BC history

Like I mentioned the other night Butte Athletes are special and even though Central came up shy of a win last night, Brooke Badovinac passed her coach Quinn Carter for 2nd most points all time in Butte Central girls’ history, she passed coach Quinn by 10 points, with 1,234 career points and sits just behind Kellie Johnson at number 1. The Assassin strikes again and continues to amaze us, Congratulations Brooke.

I asked coach how her first-year coaching has gone thus far and what it means to coach someone like Brooke, ” we are starting to play are best basketball right now, Brooke continues to be electric on the offensive end. Her leadership is making such an impact on the team’s success.”

The Lady Maroons ventured to play Stevi and came up just a bit short, after a big scoring night from Brooke Badovinac who had 27 points, running mate Kathryn Lalicker had 10, Mollie Drew had 6, and Maycee Anderson had 2 for the Maroons.

Cambree Praast led the way for Stevensville with 16 points, Claire Hutchison had 12.

The Maroons will close out the regular season Saturday against Hamilton in a boy’s girls’ double header, regular season finale. The girls tipoff at 5:30 and the boys will lead things off at 4pm.
