Lady Dogs fall to Missoula Hellgate

Info gathered by John Robbins of Butte Sports

Butte High Lady Bulldogs 32 Hellgate Lady Knights 60

The Lady Bulldogs traveled to Missoula to play Hellgate tonight and had 3 solid periods of play, but the 3rd quarter is where it got away from them.

Payton Clary was hot from 3-point land as she cashed all three of hers in for 9 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs. The Bulldogs haven’t put a complete game in even in their win over Belgrade, they are young and meshing to find out what works best for such a new look team from a year ago.

The Lady Dogs fell short tonight, but the effort was there, Coach Brian Arnston had this to say after the game, “Girls really competed hard and played great team basketball in the first half. We need to figure out our 3rd quarters and I have to make some better adjustments to get the girls some easier looks. I was really proud of the effort and back to work to clean up the little mistakes.”

Payton Clary led the way scoring for the Dogs with 9 points Emmarie Richards had 7, Laura Rosenleaf had 5, Cadence Graham, Brityn Stewart, both had 3, Dylann Bartoletti and Rian Ferriter each had 2, and Taylor Bushman had 1.

The Lady Dogs will be at home this Friday night January 13th to take on Missoula Big Sky @ 7pm
