Lewis-Clark State basketball players swept the Frontier Conference Player of the Week awards, the league announced Monday.
Cammie Lewis won the men’s award, while Caelyn Orlandi took home the women’s award.
Lewis, 5-foot-11 senior guard from Norwalk, California, helped Lewis-Clark State’s men win two games over the weekend, beating Rocky Mountain College 100-59 and Montana Western 78-69.
He averaged 14.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, three assists and 2.5 steals per game. Lewis was 9 of 14 in field goals (64 percent) including 6 of 7 (60 percent) from 3-point-range and was 5 of 7 from the free throw line.
Dexter Williams Jr. of Montana Western, Ryan Imhoff of Carroll College, Trevail Lee of Montana State-Northern, Darren Lockett of the University of Great Falls and Ben Moerkerke of Rocky Mountain were also nominated.
Orlandi, 5-9 junior guard from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, helped the Warriors win two home games. L-C State beat. No. 22 Rocky Mountain 77-42 and Montana Western 75-67.
For the weekend, she averaged 20.5 points, two rebounds, 6.5 assists and one steal per game. Orlandi was 14 of 25 (56 percent) from the field, 4 of 8 in 3-point field goals and 9 of 9 from the free throw line.
Natalie Faupel of MSU-Northern, Kaye Bignell of Montana Western, Destiny Amezquita of Rocky Mountain College, Cassidy Hashley of Carroll College and Erin Legel of the University of Great Falls were also nominated.
