Knights stay unbeaten with rout of Butte High boys

MISSOULA — Missoula Hellate laid yet another claim that the Knights have the best boys’ basketball team in the state Saturday afternoon.

Rollie Worster scored 28 points to lead four Knights in double figures, and Hellgate rolled to an 89-41 Western AA victory over Butte High at the Hellgate gym.

Worster, who has signed to play basketball at Utah State, scored 16 points in the third quarter alone.

Camdyn LaRance added 18 points for Hellgate. Abe Johnson scored 14, and Beckett Arthur tossed in 10. In all, 10 Knights scored points, with Kade McWilliams tossing in eight.

Hellgate led 50-26 at halftime and 75-39 after three quarters. The Knights closed the game by outscoring Butte High 14-2 in a fourth quarter.

The win brings the Knights to 16-0 overall and 12-0 in conference play.

Blake Drakos scored 11 points, and Tommy Mellott tossed in 10 for the Bulldogs, who fell to 6-11 and 5-8. Andrew Booth, Jake Olson and Ryan Burt each scored six points, and Kenley Leary tossed in two.

The Bulldogs close out the regular season next Saturday at Missoula Hellgate.
