King’s 29 leads Western past Rocky Mountain

DILLON — Brianna King scored 20 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out four assists Thursday night to lead No. 4 Montana Western to a 73-63 win over No. 22 Rocky Mountain College at the Straugh Gymnasium. (Stats)

Savanna Bignell came off the bench to score 14 points for the Bulldogs (4-1, 13-1), who outscored Rocky 25-16 in the fourth quarter to break open a one-point game. Britt Cooper and Cierra Lamey each scored eight.

Butte Central graduate Kloie Thatcher, a true freshman, and Markaela Francis each scored 15 points to lead the Battlin’ Bears (3-2, 12-5). Antuanisha Wright scored 10 points, and Alecia Chamberlin tossed in nine.
