The win sends the Bulldogs (27-4) to the quarterfinals, where they’ll take on The Master’s University (28-6) Saturday afternoon.
Britt Cooper added 17 points and 12 rebounds for the Bulldogs, who took command of the game with a 23-13 third quarter. The game saw 13 lead changes before Western took control.
Cierra Lamey scored eight points to go along with 12 boards in the win. Western also got six points from Tori Anderson, three from Paige Holmes and Savanna Bignell and two from Brandy Bookout, Shannon Worster and Darby Schye.
Samantha French and Madison Riley each scored 14 points to lead Lyon, which closed the season at 25-8.
