BIG SKY — Paul Panisko has won yet another E.B. Craney Award.
The KBOW play-by-play broadcaster was named Montana Radio Sportscaster of The Year during a ceremony Saturday night.
Panisko, who was won the award several times in the past, covers Butte High and Montana Tech sports for the Butte radio station (KBOW 550am and 101.5fm)
After receiving the award, Panisko, 41, praised his color men. Ron Hasquet, a former Montana Tech football player and coach, who calls Tech football games with Panisko and John Thatcher, a retired coach, handles color commentary duties for Butte High sports and Tech basketball.
“I have 18 years with Hasqy and four with JT,” Panisko said. “I couldn’t do it without them.”
