Kavran, Krumm named NAIA All-Region

LEXINGTON, Ky. — The American Coaches Volleyball Association (AVCA) announced the NAIA All-Region Teams and Coaches. Kimmy Kavran and Korey Krumm received Honorable Mention for the Northwest Region. Additionally, Kavran was named the Northwest Region Freshman of the Year.

Kavran, a 5-foot-3 libero from Missoula continues to receive accolades her first season with the team. She led the Frontier Conference in digs totaling 776 this season. Nationally, she ranked first in digs per set with a 6.9 average. Kavran was named first team All-Conference, Libero of the Year and Freshman of the year for the Frontier.

Krumm is a 5-9 redshirt sophomore from Anaconda. On the season, Krumm had 317 kills and led the conference in hitting percentage with a .320. She had over 20 kills in two matches and tied the conference high of 25 kills against Loyola (La.) on September 1st.  Krumm was also named first team All-Conference.

On the list for the Northwest Region, nine student-athletes were from the Frontier Conference.
