Last summer, Butte High kicker Casey Kautzman put on one-on-one clinics to young boys and girls who want to be kickers.
This summer, the highly-recruited soon-to-be senior at Butte High has been too busy at camps and recruiting trips to do that again. But he wants to continue to work with young, aspiring kickers.
So, Kautzman organized the first Bulldog Kicking Camp. The camp will take place July 28 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Naranche Stadium. The camp is for kickers of all ages, and cost is $20. That fee includes a camp T-shirt.
The camp will be run by Kautzman and Butte High coaches, including Montana Western Hall of Fame kicker Eric Zahler. It will also include kickers from Montana Tech, the University of Montana and possibly Montana State.
“I think it will be a lot of fun,” Kautzman said.
Proceeds from the camp will be put toward the next generation of Bulldog football. Kautzman said he wants to leave the program “better than I found it.”
