ANACONDA — The Southwest Montana Junior Golf Tour closed out the 2015 season Monday with Butte golfers capturing the tour championship in five out of six divisions.
The Old Works Championship capped play, sending the golfers off with a Bear of a challenge.
Butte golfers Houston Green, Kaven Noctor, Alexis Williams, Kelliann Neary and Kennedy Lean each claimed a tour title. So did Hamilton’s Tristan Hanson.
Green won the Tiger Woods division for boys 16-17 despite finishing runner up at the Old Works Championships on Monday. Riley Lawrence of Helena shot a 78 on the course Jack Nicklaus built to win the tournament title. Green placed second at 80.
Hanson won the Rory McIlroy division for boys 14-15 with an 88. That helped him hang on for the overall title after eight tour stops. Zel Frost of Stevensville shot a 90, while Matthew Ingersoll of Butte placed third at 92.
Noctor continued his dominance in the Phil Mickelson division for boys 12-13. He shot a 48 on the back nine Monday for the tournament title. He also captured the tour crown.
Tanner Hanson of Hamilton placed a distant second at 56, while Butte golfer Billy Kelly and Andrew Kaber tied for third at 59.
Alexis Williams won the Suzann Petterson division for girls 16-17. She won six of the seven events she played in this season.
Sidney Lamb of Helena, though, captured the Old Works Championship title Monday with a 108. Williams tied for second with Kate Reid of Big Sky at 113.
Tour champions Neary and Lean were the only competitors in their division.
Neary won the Stacy Lewis division for girls 14-15 with a 156, while Lean won the nine-hole Lexi Thompson division for girls 12-13 with a 74.
