HAMILTON — Six members of the Southwest Montana Junior Golf Tour can add the title “Masters champion” to their résumés.

Carson Richie, Kendyllen Lean, Chase Choquette, Maryah Lindsay, Teagan Yelenich and Evyn Smith claimed victory Monday as the Tour topped for the Hamilton Masters at the Hamilton Golf Club.

Richie fired a 75 on the par-70 course to win the Scotty Scheffler Division for boys 16-17. Fellow Hamilton golfer Max Cianflone placed second at 81, one shot better than Anaconda’s Tanner Cromwell.

Lean, who also plays for Butte High, was the lone player in the Nelly Nora Division for girls 16-17. She shot a 116.

Choquette, of Butte, picked up his first tour win in the Patrick Cantlay Division for boys 14-15. He fired a 76 for the victory. Butte’s Will McGree took second at 87. Carson Fluckiger of Dillon was third at 90.

Clancy’s Maryah Lindsay shot a 91 to win the Lexi Thompson Division for girls 14-15. Chelsi Lyons of Butte took second at 110, followed by Eryn Lindsay of Clancy at 130.

Butte’s Yelenich won the Jordan Spieth Division for boys 13 and under. He shot a 50 over nine holes for the victory. Cade Kelly of Butte placed second at 54. Butte’s Cohen Stajcar was third at 56.

Smith, of Melorse, won the the Danielle Kang Division for girls 13 and under with a 64. She beat Butte’s Gracie Godbout by three shots.

The tournament was the fourth stop on the Tour, marking the halfway point in the season. Next up is the Fairmont Invitational next Monday at Fairmont Hot Springs.
