Junior golf tour heads to crunch time

The South West Montana Junior Golf Tour heads to Dillon Monday for the Beaverhead Open at the Beaverhead Golf Course.

The tournament will be the sixth stop on the tour, and the overall title in each division is still up for grabs just two weeks away from The Old Works Championship.

The tour stops in Opportunity for the Anaconda Challenge before the finale on the course that Jack built.

Butte’s Will Kilmer holds the biggest division lead. He sits atop the Tiger Woods Division for boys 16-17 with 5,300 points. Logan Teegarden of Clancy is next at 4,050, while Eric Fogerty of Butte is third at 3,850.

Butte’s Houston Green leads fellow Butte golfer Isaiah Weldon 7,300-6,300 for the lead in the Rory McIlroy Division for boys 14-15.

In the Phil Mickelson Division for boys 12-13, Whitehall golfer Max Feight sits in first place with 6,600 points. Tristan Hanson of Hamilton is second at 6,200.

On the girls’ side, Butte High teammates Hailey Ogolin and Shaelyn Hafer are tied for the top spot with 2,000 points in the Suzann Pettersen Division (16-17).

Another Butte High golfer, Alexis Williams, leads the Stacy Lewis Division (14-15) with 4,000 points. Butte’s Tricia Joyce is second at 2,900 points.
