Joyce bounces back for 75 and third place tie

BILLINGS — For the second year in a row, Butte’s Tricia Joyce tied for third pace at the Montana State Women’s Amateur golf tournament. (Leaderboard)

The recent Butte Central graduate bounced back from Friday’s 80 for a 75 Saturday at The Briarwood Golf Course. With a 228 total, Joyce tied with Montana State golfer Delaney Elliott of Superior, Colorado.

Rocky Mountain College golfer Eryn Ellis of Casper, Wyoming, went wire to wire for the victory. She it 79 on Saturday for a 217 total.

Whitefish’s Coral Schulz, also an MSU player, shot 78 Saturday and placed second at 225.

Joyce, who is about to start her career on the University of Montana golf team, posted the low round of the day.
