Johnson singles in loss

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Butte native Rob Johnson went 1 for 5 with a single Tuesday night as the Memphis Redbirds fell 5-3 in 11 innings to the New Orleans Zephyrs at AutoZone Park.

Gorkys Hernandez hit a two-run single to break the tie in the top of the 11th inning of the Pacific Coast League game.

Redbirds starter Tom Koehler walked four and struck out three with Johnson catching. Johnson, who is hitting .235, batted seventh and started for the second straight game. He homered in a win Monday night.
