Johnson, Redbirds knock of Isotopes

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Rob Johnson had his second multi-hit game in as many days Thursday as the Memphis Redbirds beat the Albuquerque Isotopes 8-4 in a Pacific Coast League game.

Johnson went 2 for 4 two RBIs to raise his season average to .210. He hit a sacrifice fly in Memphis’ three-run first inning. He hit an RBI single as the Redbirds scored three in the fifth inning.

The Redbirds head to Omaha for a four-game showdown with the first-place Storm Chasers. Memphis trails Omaha by one game in the American North Division standings.
