Johnson influence felt in St. Louis.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Memphis Redbirds fell 5-2 to the Nashville Sounds Thursday night. Butte native Rob Johnson went 0 for 4, dropping his batting average to .191 on the season.

Still, the catcher for the Triple-A Redbirds is inducing success at the big-league level. Cardinals manager Mike Matheny, a former catcher, called Johnson an asset. St. Louis pitcher Adam Wainwright credited Johnson for his early season success.
