Johnson goes 2 for 4 in win

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Butte native Rob Johnson went 2 for 4 with a pair of singles Saturday as the Memphis Redbirds returned home from a long trip and beat Iowa 8-5.

The catcher raised his season batting average to .216 with the multi-hit game.

The Redbirds improved to 9-6 and are a half game ahead of the Omaha Storm Chasers for first place in the Pacific Coast League American Northern division.

The Redbirds and Cubs continue their four-game series Sunday.
