MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Rob Johnson went 2 for 4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored Thursday night in the Memphis Redbirds’ 7-5 loss to the Albuquerque Isotopes.
The Butte native hit an RBI double and scored a run as the Redbirds rallied for two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning. He is now hitting .218 with three doubles, four home runs and 15 RBIs in 33 games played.
At 27-25, the Redbirds are sitting in first place in the Pacific Coast League American North. They have a 3-game lead over the Iowa Cubs.
The Redbirds, the Triple-A team for the St. Louis Cardinals, close out the four-game set with the Isotopes on Friday. They head to Omaha to begin a four-game series on Saturday.
