WHITEFISH, Mont. – Montana Tech’s Maureen Jessop was named the Frontier Conference/Erck Hotels Attacker of the Week.
The Orediggers (20-6, 5-0) was in Wisconsin last weekend at the Viterbo University Invitational in La Crosse. Tech won all three matches and two by sweep. The No. 18 Orediggers opened with a 3-0 win over No. 23 Columbia College
(Mo.), defeated Saint Francis (Ill.) 3-1, and finished with a sweep over St. Francis (Ind.). The Orediggers have won their last 10 straight matches.
Jessop, a 6-foot-1 outside hitter from Corvallis, Montana, posted a solid weekend finishing with 41 kills in the three matches. Jessop averaged 4.1 kills per set and a .303 hitting percentage on the weekend. Jessop had 16 kills in the final match and just one hitting error closing out the tournament with a .429 hitting percentage.
The Orediggers start the second half of the Frontier Conference schedule this Saturday when they host the University of Providence. The match starts at 6 p.m. on Kelvin Sampson Court.
