The NAIA Football All-American Teams were unveiled today, and Montana Tech’s Jed Fike and Montana Western’s Jason Ferris received a mention.

Ferris, a junior linebacker from Dillon, took home All-American honors for the second time this week. He was named to the American Football Coaches Association All-American Team earlier this week.

Like with the AFCA honor, the former Dillon Beaver took home first-team honors on the NAIA team.

This past season, Ferris led the Frontier Conference with 125 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, 15 passes defended, three interceptions, two sacks, two fumble recoveries, and a forced fumble. He ranked third in the nation in tackles per game, averaging 12.5. Ferris was named the Frontier Conference Defensive Player of the Year.

Fike, a junior from Harrison, received an honorable mention after leading the Frontier Conference in rushing with 1,340 yards on 256 carries. Fike averaged 5.2 yards per carry and scored nine rushing touchdowns.

In all, 11 players from the Frontier Conference were honored. Eastern Oregon receiver Brenden Kelly and Southern Oregon kicker Marcus Montano joined Ferris on the first team. Eastern Oregon offensive lineman Mick Wilson and Rocky Mountain College defensive lineman Ryder Rice made the second team.

Frontier players to receive an honorable mention were Eastern Oregon kicker Nathan Harden, Rocky quarterback Jacob Bakken, Rocky offensive lineman Troy Bacon, Southern Oregon defensive lineman Sean Rogers, and Southern Oregon linebacker Tyson Cooper.
