Butte golfer Houston Green matched par with a 70 at the Butte Country Club Tuesday to easily win the Silver Bow Open, which is the second stop on the Southwest Montana Junior Golf Tour.
Green was one of six players from the Mining City to win or tie for first in their divisions.
J.J. Mohr, Kaven Noctor, Alexis Williams, Kelliann Neary and Kennedy Lean also took the top spot in Week 2.
Green won for the second straight week. He topped the field in the Tiger Woods Division for boys 16-17 last week at the Butte “Kick-Off” Classic at the Highland View Golf Course.
Butte’s Isaiah Weldon and Eric Fogerty tied for second at 80.
Williams also made it 2 for 2 on the tour. She shot an 89 to run away for the title in the Suzann Pettersen Division for girls 16-17. Helena’s Amber O’Mara was second at 103, while Butte’s Sadie Starcevich placed third at 105.
Mohr shot an 87 to tie Missoula’s Shawn Ryan for the title in the Rory McIlroy for boys 14-15. Holden Gehringer of Helena placed third at 92, followed by Tristan Hanson of Hamilton at 93.
Noctor shot a 43 to easily win the nine-hole Phil Mickelson Division for boys 12-13.
Neary was the only player in the Stacey Lewis Division for girls 14-15. She shot a 129. Lean played solo in the Lexi Thompson Division for girls 12-13. She finished 26 over for nine holes.
The next stop on the tour is the July 1 Hamilton Masters.
