MISSOULA — Butte High’s Kodie Hoagland and Jack Prigge are 2 for 2 when it comes to top-10 finishes this season.
Hoagland placed second at the Missoula Invitational, which concluded at the Canyon River Golf Club Tuesday. Prigge tied for seventh place on the boys’ side.
Both golfers also placed in the top 10 last week at the season-opening Great Falls Invitational.
On the girls’ side, Corvallis’ Macee Greenwood ran away with medalist honors. The defending Class A state champion matched par with a 72 on Tuesday. That came after she shot 77 Monday at Larchmont Golf Course for a 149 total.
Hoagland followed Monday’s 81 with a 77 for a 158. Stella Claridge of Kalispell Glacier and Jillian Wynne of Kalispell Flathead tied for third at 168.
Glacier won the team title at 769, edging Helena Capital by two shots.
Kade McDonough of Missoula Sentinel went low Tuesday to claim boys’ medalist honors. He shot a 4-under 68 for a 139 total. McDonough shot a 71 on Monday.
Missoula Sentinel’s Joe Opitz, a Montana Tech signee, shot a 69 for a 143 and second place. Keaton Cassidy of Glacier finished third at 147 after a final-round 72.
Prigge followed a 76 with a 75 for a 151 to tie with Will Salonen of Glacier for seventh.
Sentinel shot a 285 on Tuesday to take the team title at 586. Glacier took second at 609 after a 295. Capital finished third at 623.
Butte High placed eighth at 693. The Bulldogs improved five shots for a 344 on Tuesday.
Freshman Brenner Booth followed an 81 with an 84. Gavin Roesti improved 10 shots for an 88, while Kade Corcoran shot a final-round 97 for Butte. Joseph Lyons hit 108.
The Bulldogs are back in action next Monday and Tuesday at the Belgrade Invitational.
