Gallatin boys roll again; Prigge finishes fourth
BOZEMAN — Make it two in a row for Kodie Hoagland.
The Butte High senior fired a 5-over-par 76 at Bridger Creek Golf Course Friday for a victory at the Bozeman Invitational. Hoagland also shot a 76 Thursday at Valley View Golf Course, and her 152 total tied her with Addiley Lloyd of Gallatin for the top spot.
Lloyd shot a final-round 78 after Thursday’s 74 at Valley View. Bella Johnson of Billings West placed third at 156. She shot 76 on Friday. Kenzie Walsh of Billings senior finished fourth at 157 after a 75, and Bozeman’s Elly Atkins shot an 80 for a fifth-place 159.
West won the team title with a score of 665. The Golden Bears improved one shot for a 332 on Friday. Gallatin placed second at 690 and Billings Senior took third at 693.
Butte High improved 67 shots for a 378 and sixth place at 841. Dylann Bartoletti shot a final-round 101. Taylor Sullivan hit 103, and Kendyllen Lean carded a 107.
It did not seem probably that the Gallatin boys could improve on Thursday’s 284, but the Raptors did just that. The Raptors hit a 278 for a 562 total and an easy team title. Senior took second at 613, and Skyview finished third at 638.
Ramey Lloyd, who was the No. 4 Gallatin player heading in, followed his 1-ynder 69 on Thursday with a 4-under 67. His 136 total topped teammate Justus Verge by three shots for medalist honors.
Verge shot a 69, which was one shot better than his brother Jordan, who placed third at 141.
Butte High junior Jack Prigge placed fourth, joining Hoagland with a fifth-straight Top 5 finish. He hit a 72 for the second consecutive day for 144 . Gallatin’s Stevie Voight took fifth at 146.
As a team, the Bulldogs improved 17 shots for a 328 and a 673 total. Brenner Booth shot an 80 Friday, while Joseph Lyons improved 16 shots for an 86. Gavin Roesti added an 89 for Butte, and Jacob Sawyer hit a 91.
