BOULDER CITY, Nev. — Butte High graduate Hailey Hoagland fired a 5-over-par 77 during Tuesday’s second round of the Big Sky Women’s Championship golf tournament at Boulder Creek Golf Club.
The University of Montana sophomore’s 77 followed a first-round 80 for a 157, which is tied for 45th.
As a team, the Grizzlies followed Monday’s 307 with a season-best 298 for a 605, which puts the Griz in ninth place at 605 heading into Wednesday’s final round.
Baylee Barckley followed Monday’s 72 with a 73 to lead the Griz. She is tied for eighth place.
Montana State’s Jaylee Tait leads the way at 141. She hit 69 Monday and 72 on Tuesday. The Bobcats sit in fifth place at 594 after Tuesday’s 289.
Idaho leads the way at 581 after rounds of 295 and 286. Vandal Sophie Hausmann set the Big Sky Conference record with 7-under 65 to lead the way. After Monday’s 77, she sits in second place at 142.
