Hill’s 23 leads Lady Griz past Bobcats in OT

MISSOULA— Anaconda native Torry Hill played 43 minutes and scored a game-high 23 points Monday night to lead the University of Montana women’s basketball team past Montana State 84-79 in overtime. Stats

Hill hit 4 of 8 shots from behind the 3-point line and connected on 7 of 13 shots from the field as the Lady Griz improved to 7-3 in the Big Sky Conference and 13-6 overall.

Kellie Cole scored 18 points in the win, while Jordan Sullivan scored 13 and Carly Selvig chipped in with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Jasmine Hommes scored 17 points to lead four Bobcats in double figures as MSU fell to 6-4 and 11-8. Kalli Durham added 15 points, and Ashley Brumwell and Ausha Cole each scored 12.

The two teams will meet again March 3 in Bozeman.
