Hellgate girls roll past Bravettes for title

HELENA — Alex Covill’s 17 points and eight rebounds led the way Saturday night, and Missoula Hellgate rolled to a 49-20 win over Kalispell Flathead in the Western AA Divisional championship game at the P.E. Center. (Stats)

Bailee Sayler scored 11 points, grabbed six rebound and dished six assists for Hellgate (20-1), which held Flathead scoreless for almost the first 10 minutes of the game.

Sayler, a senior who signedto play at MSU-Billings, will take 989 career points to the Class AA State tournament in Billings.

Keke Davis added eight points for Hellgate. Lauren Dick scored six, Elly Thorpe tossed in three, and Addy Heaphy and Perry Paffhausen each scored two.

Kennedy Moore scored 11 points and grabbed seven boards to lead the Bravettes (16-5).  Flathead also got three points from Clare Converse and two apiece from Maddy Moy, Akilah Kubi and Ivy Gannon.
