HELENA —Kaden Huot score 21 points to lead the way Thursday night, and Helena High knocked off Butte High 56-42 in a Western AA boys’ basketball game.
The Bengals used a 14-7 run in the second quarter to take a 25-19 lead into halftime. The Bengals led 39-30 after three and shot 10 for 12 from the free throw line in the fourth to seal the victory.
Huot hit four 3-pointers in the win. Colter Petre scored 15 points in the win. Helena Also got seven points from Kade Schlepp and six from Tevin Wetzel.
Senior Kenley Leary scored 19 points to pace the Bulldogs. He scored 10 points in the fourth quarter.
Cameron Gurnsey added eight points for Butte High, and Kooper Klobucar tossed in seven. The Bulldogs got three apiece from Dylan Bache and Bo Demarais, and two from Tocher Lee.
The Bulldogs have a week off before playing host to the Kalispell schools next Friday and Saturday.
