Butte High center fielder Hattie Thatcher is first-team All-State softball player for the third time.
Thatcher, who hit .417 during the regular season, earned first-team All-State honors as a freshman, junior and now as a senior. She earned second-team All-State honors as a sophomore when the Bulldogs won the Class AA State championship.
Thatcher, who will play basketball at Montana Tech, shared the prestigious Butte High Outstanding Girl Athlete Award with classmate Natalee Faupel at Wednesday’s All-Sports banquet.
The Class AA All-State and Eastern AA All-Conference teams apparently have not been released to all media. Bulldog coach Steve Stosich told The Montana Standard about his team’s selections.
In all, four Bulldogs were honored.
Junior pitcher Jessica Robertson and sophomore second baseman Ashten McCloskey received second-team all-conference honors. Senior shortstop Katey Walsh received an all-conference honorable mention.
