Harper, Hollow, Schulte named BC football captains

Two days before the start of the 2015 season, the Butte Central football team has named its captains.

Cole Harper, Cal Hollow and Kyle Schulte were chosen by teammates to lead the Maroons. BC coach Don Peoples Jr. announced the selections today.

“We are very proud of Kyle, Cal and Cole,” Peoples said.  “They worked very hard in the off-season and we are looking forward to their leadership this season.”

Harper is a 6-foot-1, 170-pound wide receiver and corner back.  In 2014 he was named second-team All-Southwestern A as a wide receiver

Hollow is a 5-9, 170-pound safety, wide receiver and punt returner.  In 2014 he was named first-team All- Southwestern A as return specialist and free safety.

Schulte is a 6-2 205-offensive tackle and defensive end.  In 2014 he was a first-team All-Southwestern A tight end and second-team middle linebacker.

The Maroons open the season at 7 p.m. Friday night against Belgrade on the Bob Green Field.
