Harding girls edge Rams, make return trip to chipper

GREAT FALLS — The Hardin and Havre girls will play in the championship game of the Class A State tournament.

Again.

A last-second jump shot by Solei Elletson rattled in and out, and Hardin held on for a 44-43 semifinal win over Billings Central at the Four Seasons Arena. (Stats)

The Bulldogs (21-3) will meet the Blue Ponies (22-1) in Saturday’s 6:30 p.m. championship game.

Marie Five scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead the Bulldogs. She hit 7 of 11 shots from the field.Julianna Takes Horse came off the bench to score 11 points in the win, and Mashaya Alden scored nine.

Elletson scored 13 points to lead the Rams, who play Columbia Falls in a 9 a.m. loser-out game on Saturday.
