Hamilton heads to A girls’ chipper

GREAT FALLS — Jaylee Albert scored 21 points Friday night, and the Southwestern A champion Hamilton Broncs will play for a state title.

The Broncs beat Columbia Falls 44-39 in the semifinals of the Class A State girls’ basketball tournament at the Four Seasons Arena.

Taylor Goligoski added 14 points for the Broncs in the victory. Ciera Finberg scored 13 to lead Columbia Falls, which heads to Saturday morning’s loser-out play.

Hamilton will take on Havre in the championship game. The Blue Ponies beat Laurel 43-28 in Saturday’s late semifinal. Brandy Lambourne scored 19 points to lead Havre. Morgan Mazurkiewicz scored nine.

Allie McGrath’s 18 points led the Locomotives.
