Butte High graduate Shealyn Hafer, an MSBU junior, is tied for third after a first-round 80 on the par-72 course. She is tied with teammate Bailee Dexter.
MSUB’s Sarah Schroefel leads heading into Tuesday’s final round after carding a 77. Yellowjacket Sammy Walter is second at 78.
As a team, the Yellowjackets hit 315. The University of Jamestown is 15 shots back at 330.
Montana Tech sits in third at 348, while Dickinson State is fourth at 360.
Montana Tech’s Tanna Campbell is tied for seventh place at 83. Also for the Orediggers, Butte High grad Hailey Ogolin shot an 87, Lynzee Dexter shot 88, Taryn Campbell carded a 90, and Angela King hit 97.
After two rounds on the men’s side, Jamestown leads the way at 581. The Jimmies hit 294 and 287.
MSUB is second at 584, and the Orediggers are third at 606 after a 306 and a 300.
Jamestown teammates Nathan Kapaun and Austin Rene are tied for the individual lead at 142. Kapaun followed a 75 with a 67, while Rene hit 70 and 72.
Tech’s Trey Hoagland, a Butte High grad, and Sean Benson are tied for eighth place at 147. Benson hit 75 and 72, while Hoagland followed a 74 with a 73.
Also for the Orediggers, Jimmy Amundson (76-79) shot 155, Bridger Martin (81-85) hit 166, and Ryan Keenan (96-76) carded a 172.
