GREAT FALLS — Butte High senior Shealyn Hafer shot a 4-over-par 76 Monday at Meadow Lark Country Club.
Hafer sits in second place at the Great Falls Invitational behind Kalispell Glacier’s Teigan Avery, who matched par with a 72.
Bridget Beyer of Bozeman and Riley Carmichael of Great Falls Russell are tied for third at 77 heading into Tuesday’s final round at the Eagle Falls Golf Club.
Butte High senior Hailey Ogolin is tied for 11th place after an 83.
The Bulldogs are tied with Helena High for eighth place in team standings at 376. Billings West leads at 347. Great Falls High is second at 349, followed by Glacier at 353.
Sophomore Alexis Williams added a 103 for the Bulldogs, who played with just four players. Freshman Sadie Starcevich shot a 114 for Butte High.
On the boys’ side, Butte High freshman Isaiah Weldon opened his high school career in impressive fashion. Weldon shot a 77 and is tied for 17th place at the halfway mark. He is just two shots out of the top 10.
Austin Walter of Billings Senior leads after lighting up the course with a 4-under-par 68. Easton Enott of Great Falls Russell is next at 69, while Joey Moore of West is third at 70.
Sean Benson of Sentinel, Scott Larson of Glacier and Tevin Lewis of Helena Capital also broke par at 71.
CMR leads team standings with a 299. Billings Senior is second at 301, followed by West and Capital at 302.Butte High sits in ninth place at 319.
Junior Trey Hoagland added an 80 for the Bulldogs. Sophomore Houston Green and senior Levin Mullaney each hit an 81, and junior Will Kilmer carded an 85.
Tuesday’s play begins at 8:30 a.m.
