Butte High three-sport athlete Carlie Haeffner has chosen volleyball at the next level.
Haeffner signed an NAIA letter of intent to play volleyball at MSU-Northern. Haeffner signed with the Skylights last month.
The 6-foot middle blocker earned All-Conference honors on the volleyball court two times for the Bulldogs. She has also been named Academic All-State nine times, sporting a 3.88 GPA.
Haeffner was also a starter on the Butte High girls’ basketball team, helping the Bulldogs earn a spot in the Class AA State tournament in each of her four years in purple and white. She’ll also go to State in the high jump for the Bulldog track team.
Haeffner plans to study mathematics and biology in Havre. According to a release for the school, her long-term goal is to become a veterinarian.
Haeffner’s parents, Scott and Georgann, are both MSU-Northern alums.
