MISSOULA — The University of Montana jumped out to a 40-21 halftime lead, and the Grizzlies turned back Montana Tech 79-55 in an exhibition men’s basketball game Monday night at Dahlberg Arena. (Stats)
Ahmaad Rorie scored 20 points to lead five Grizzlies in double figures in the victory. Kendal Manuel came off the bench to score 17 points for the Griz. Donaven Dorsey tossed in 11, while Timmy Falls and Sayeed Pridgett each scored 10.
Derrius Collins scored 10 points to lead the Grizzlies. He also joined Taylor England and Nick Fitts with three assists.
In all, nine Orediggers found the score book. England and Carson Dummer each scored eight points, while Blake Dittman, Christian Jones and Fitts each scored six points. Tech also got four points apiece from Dylan Pannabecker and Drew Huse. William Mitty scored three.
The Orediggers, who were still missing Nate Ward and Troy Owens Jr., play the College of Idaho and Multnomah Friday and Saturday at the College of Idaho Classic in Caldwell.
