MISSOULA – Cornerback Nate Harris has been suspended for The University of Montana’s 2012 season opener this Saturday, Sept. 1, as the Grizzlies host the University of South Dakota for violation of team rules, announced UM head coach Mick Delaney.
Harris, a 5-10, 180-pound redshirt freshman from Chino, Calif., was the projected starter at UM’s “field” cornerback position.
Josh Dennard, a 5-11, 180-pound sophomore from Phoenix, Ariz., will get the start at that position. Dennard played wide receiver last season as a true freshman, and hard 4 receptions for 22 yards and a touchdown (against Weber State). He was a running back and defensive back at Brophy Prep in Phoenix.
