Griz fifth, Cats 19th in coaches poll

The University of Montana will open the season at No. 5 in the nation, according to the preseason FCS coaches poll.

The poll, released Monday, ranks North Dakota State No. 1. Eastern Washington is No. 2, followed by Southeastern Louisiana and New Hampshire.

Montana State is ranked No. 19. Northern Arizona cracked the poll at No. 25.
