Greger, Machinal earn Frontier honors

Montana Tech basketball players Adam Greger and Mandy Machinal earned Frontier Conference Player of the Week honors, the league announced today.

Greger is a 6-foot-7 sophomore forward from Florence. He led the Orediggers to a 2-0 record at the Westminster Holiday Classic over the weekend, scoring 71 points in two games.

Greger scored 29 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in Friday’s 85-70 win over NCAA Division II Chadron State on Friday. Saturday, he scored 32 points and pulling down 11 rebounds in an 85-81 win over No. 20 Cal State San Marcos.

The Orediggers play two games at home this week, starting with a Wednesday game against Whitworth College.

Machinal is 5-7 sophomore from Richaland, Wash. She poured in 32 points Friay as the Orediggers routed Marygrove College 86-65 at the HPER Complex. Machinal, who hit on 11 of 11 free throws, also tallied two steals and an assist.

The Oredigger women are back in action at home Dec. 8 against Walla Wall University.
