POLSON — Corvallis’ Macee Greenwood and Libby’s Reece Malyevac claimed medalist honors Monday at the Polson Invitational golf tournament. (Results)
Greenwood fired a 2-over-par 74 to beat Frenchtown’s Kate Lewis by four shots. Aly Rose of Hamilton finished third at 87.
On the boy’s side, Malyevac hit a 1-under 71 for the victory. Billy Smith and Marcus Kilman of Whitefish tied for second with Christian Lund of Polson at 74.
Butte Central sent a pair of golfers to the tournament. Sam Henderson shot a 97, and Nick Lester hit 125.
Whitefish and Polson tied for the team title at 302. Libby took third at 332. Frenchtown won the girls’ team title at 386, beating Polson by five shots. Corvallis took third at 406.
