Butte golfers Houston Green, Ty Wyatt, Alexis Williams and Kelliann Neary claimed victories in at the Butte “Kick-Off” Classic Tuesday at the Highland View Golf Course.

The tournament was the first of a nine-stop Southwest Montana Junior Golf Tour.

Houston Green

Green fired the low round of the day, carding a 3-over-par 73 to win the Tiger Woods Division for boys 16-17.

Taggart Sullivan of Helena was two back at 75, while Butte’s Isaiah Weldon shot a third-place 76.

In the Roy McIlroy division for boys 14-15, Helena’s Holden Gehringer topped the field with an 89. Niklaus Zora of Butte was second at 92, followed by Butte’s Kaden Hanni at 95.

Wyatt claimed the nine-hole Phil Mickelson division for boys 12-13 at plus 16. He beat Jase McKay of Anaconda by two shots.

On the girls’ side, Butte’s Alexis Williams shot an 87 to run away with the Suzann Petterson division for players 16-17. Mikaela Latka of Helena was second at 97, followed by Sidney Lamb of Helena at 98.

Neary was the lone player in the Stacy Lewis division for girls 14-15. She shot a 121.

Helena’s Elaina Smith won the Lexi Thompson division for girls 12-13 with a plus 28. She beat Butte’s Kennedy Lean by three shots.

The next stop on the tour is next Tuesday at the Silver Bow Open at the Butte Country Club.
