BILLINGS — Butte High golfer Houston Green closed out his high school career with the fourth-place medal at the Class AA State tournament Friday.

Green followed Thursday’s 1-under-par 71 with a 76 for a 147 at the Lake Hills Golf Course. He is one of three Bulldogs to come home with All-State honors.

The top 15 boys and girls earn that distinction. Bulldog junior Isaiah Weldon placed 10th on the boys’ side, while senior Lexi Williams placed 12th on the girls’ side.

Butte High’s boys placed fifth in team standings, and the Bulldog girls fell to seventh.

Joey Moore of Billings West captured the individual state tile by finishing at 10 under par. He followed Thursday’s 68 with a 66 for a 134.

Missoula Sentinel’s Sean Ramsbacher placed a distant second at 144. He matched par at 72 each day. West’s Caleb Trost took third at 147 following a final-round 71.

Weldon totaled 153 with a 78 on the final 18. He shot 75 on Thursday.

West lit up the course for a 287 on Friday for a 589 total to take the team title. Bozeman took second at 621, followed by Great Falls high at 625, Sentinel at 625 and Butte High at 633.

The Bulldogs shot a 325 after Thursday’s 308.

Also for the Bulldogs, junior Will Hoagland tied for 27th place after shooting an 82 for a 160 total. Freshman Kaven Noctor shot an 89 Friday for a 181, and senior Marcus Lynch hit 92 for a 176.

The top four scores each day count in team standings.

On the girls’ side, Bozeman’s Meggie Delaney held on for the individual title. The granddaughter of former University of Montana football coach Mick Delaney followed a 76 with an 82 for a 158 total.

Hawks teammates Kameryn Bysen and Annika Danenhauer tied for third with Helena High’s Weslee Nehl at 161. Bozeman’s Hannah Rosanova took fifth at 162.

The Hawks shot a 641 total (317-324) to run away with the team title. Helena and Sentinel tied for second at 747.

Butte High shot 771, slipping 13 shots from Thursday’s 379 for a 392.

Williams improved one shot for a 171 total. She missed the top 10 by two shots.

Butte High senior Katelyn Alley and junior Sadie Starcevich tied for 35th place at 201. Alley Shot 102 Friday, while Starcevich hit 104.

Bulldog freshman Grace Luoma hit 206 after a final-round 1-1, while junior Kelliann Neary hit 208 following Friday’s 111.
