Glacier ices Butte High twice in softball twin bill

KALISPELL – Undefeated Glacier High of Kalispell swung the big bats Friday as the Wolfpack swept a doubleheader from Butte High in Western AA Conference high school softball play.
Glacier won by margins of 15-0 and 17-3.
Ella Farrell pitched the win and drove in three runs in the first game, and Zoe Allen walloped a home run. Farrell whacked a double. She held Butte High to one hit – a single by Madisyn Swanson.
Nakiah Persinger singled once for Glacier and walked twice, scoring three times. Cazz Rankosky and Emma Cooke also scored three times apiece. Zoey Allen crashed a home run.

Persinger drove in eight runs, some on home runs hit in the third and fifth innings, as Glacier posted its 17-3 victory. Cooke contributed a homer in the fifth inning while ending the game on the 10-run difference rule.
Morgan Vivian pitched a four-hitter while gaining the win for the Wolfpack. The hits she gave up were singles to Kamber Leary, Bryn Godbout, Ashby Lee and Taylor Drakos. The hits by Lee and Drakos plated runs.
Rankosky, Avery Anderson, Persinger, Zoey Allen and Brooklyn Imperato all collected multiple hits for Glacier.
Butte High is scheduled to play at home on Tuesday versus Helena High in a Western AA clash at Stodden Park.
