BILLINGS — Jalen Garcia went 4 for 4 with three runs scored and four RBIs Friday night as the Billings Scarlets beat the Butte Miners 11-1 in an Eastern AA American Legion baseball game.

Garcia’s night included a pair of triples and a double in a game called after seven innings by the 10-run rule. The game was scheduled to go nine innings.

Jayson Leinwasnd and Caje Golden added doubles in the victory. Gordon Sveinsen pitched four innings and got the win. He scattered four hits. Cody Knote and Luke Funyak were hitless in relief.

Ryan Moodry went 2 for 3 with an RBI to lead the Miner offense. Zach Hart and Quin Summers added singles in the loss.

The Miners will stay in Billings for a 1 p.m. doubleheader with the Scarlets on Saturday.
