Fundraising bowling tournament is Saturday

The third annual Mental Health Awareness Bowling Fundraiser will be held Saturday at the Star Lanes.

The two-person blind draw bowling tournament begins at 6:30 p.m. with an overflow shift starting at 2:30 p.m. The format of the tournament will be a cosmic eight-pin no tab.

Cost is $30 per person, and it will be held under the cosmic lights with music. Pizza and one free drink per entry are available.

Handicap is based on 90 percent of 220 average, and bowlers who don’t have an established average will be assigned a 120 for men and 100 for women.

Prizes will be awarded. First place is a Chico Hot Springs stay. The event also features a raffle and a silent auction for a liquor basket.

Sponsors and businesses with teams of five are encouraged to participate. To sign up, call tournament director Bill Keller at 491-1927 or 497-6385. Spots are filling up quickly.

All proceeds will go the Western Montana Mental Health Clinic’s mental health adult programs and children programs. This event has helped many people in our community, and the proceeds stay in the Mining City.
